It depends on what you want to do.At the very least you want a 3 and a 4 jaw chuck,a tool post,various cutters,boring bars,knurling tools if you want to do knurling,a cut off tool,live and dead centers,thread cutting tools,and some measuring tools like vernier calipers and micrometers(the best you can afford).The most important thing is instruction on how to use all that safely and efficiently.Go to a book store and get a copy of Home Shop Machinist magazine.There are some good sources in there to get more info.
